Focused on planning community for an aging urban community, especially
focused on the problems and potential solutions for the LGBTQ
community.

Don Moreland, born in Seattle 73 years ago, U of W graduate, active
duty in the US Navy rank. Lt. and early gay activist while in Los
Angeles in the 60s-70s upon return to Seattle, WA. chaired Seattle
Chapter The Dorian Group, Pres. of Lesbian & Gay Democrats of Greater
Seattle. Founding board member of Privacy Fund, Served on Gov. Booth
Gardner's first AIDS task force (lead to WA state's omnibus AID's
bill. Became a national board meber and finance chair of Human Righs
Campaign, Served on King County Civil rights Compliance Committee and
the Seattle Civil Rights Commission. Don was the first President and
one of the organizer of Mature Friends (a large social membership
group of LGBT folks) Served several terms on Bailey Boushay House
board of directors and now serves on the Seattle /King County Aging
and Disability Advisory Committee and the State Council on Aging.

Tom Rasmussen chairs the Seattle City Council's Parks and Seattle
Center Committee. The Committee is responsible for all issues
presented to the Council relating to Seattle's parks, community
centers, the Woodland Park Zoo, the Seattle Aquarium, and Seattle
Center. Tom is working to ensure that Seattle Center and our parks
and recreation programs are accessible and affordable to people of all
ages and people of all income levels. As Seattle becomes more densely
populated, he believes that it is more important than ever to provide
parks and recreation opportunities in all neighborhoods. Tom is the
vice-chair of the Culture, Civil Rights, Health and Personnel
committee. He is also a member of the Planning, Land Use and
Neighborhoods committee. He is a member of the Seattle/King County
Board of Health as well as a member of the Regional Policy Committee
and the Water Resource Inventory Area (WRIA 8) board, which works to
restore and conserve salmon habitat in our region. Tom was first
elected to the City Council in 2003. During his first term in office,
Tom led the Council in the siting of Seattle's first comprehensive
homeless services center. He also launched development of a new $2
million site acquisition fund for affordable housing. And he secured
new funding for increased HIV/AIDS prevention and testing services.
He was elected to his second term in 2007. Prior to his election in
2003, Tom was the Director of the Mayor's Office for Senior Citizens.
Tom began his public service as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in
Yakima and subsequently served as legislative aide to Seattle City
Councilmember Jeanette Williams for many years.

Jeff Reibman, AIA, LEED AP is a licensed architect and a Senior
Associate with Weber Thompson, a multidisciplinary design firm
including Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and
Community Planning. For the last five years Jeff has specialized in
the design of Senior Housing. Recent projects include the Aljoya
Mercer Island and Aljoya Thornton Place Independent living Facilities
and Aegis of Bellevue Assisted Living. Jeff is an advocate for Senior
Housing in town centers and for public-private partnerships that
connect senior living facilities to public amenities such as parks,
open space, and hubs of education and culture.
